 Chain Maille

There are  few things in life we must not ignore:  responsibility, relationships and talent.

Unfortunately, sometimes I ignore some of those things and concentrate on the talent!

But, when I come to the end of my life and stand before God, I hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used up everything you gave me”.

Here are some results of my endeavors.

Mesh woven Victorian style purse, using Bright Aluminum rings, connected to a metal engraved frame.  Accented with points at the bottom, using metal colored rosette beads.  Chain in a 2 and 2 Japanese weave.

I had a wonderful opportunity to make this custom chainmaille purse, using someone’s old license plates.  It was a lengthy project to say the least, but the result was well received and is in good use.  Given the amount of rings used to form the body, I used aluminum, making it very lightweight for the client.

Another awesome weave in a bysantine variation, this time using sterling silver and bronze.  This one is finished off with a sterling sparkle slide clasp and is one of my favorite pieces!

This necklace, dubbed “Cleopatra’s Envy” was made using jeweler’s brass rings, in a European weave, then beaded with cubed glass beads of white, blue and gold, and alternating blue glass leaves.  SOLD

I like to call this Pink Punk!  It is made by using black rubber rings in conjunction with bright aluminum and pink anodized aluminum rings in a Japanese weave.  It is a continuous stretchable bracelet with no clasp.  Great for the Goth look.  SOLD

Sterling Silver rings in a cascading chain hold wire wrapped sweet little cubes in lime, creating a dangling swirl effect.  These are supported by sterling silver ear wires.
